What is a Brow Lift?

The Procedure

Your Marina del Rey brow lift will be done under general anesthesia. To perform the procedure, Dr. Macias will create an incision and lift, reshape and tighten the brow and forehead. There are two techniques for you to choose from:

  • Endoscopic. The endoscopic incisions are small openings made within the hairline. Through those openings, Dr. Macias will use small instruments and an endoscope (a thin tube attached to a camera) to reshape and elevate drooping tissue beneath the skin.
  • Coronal. The coronal incision is considered the traditional brow lift approach. It involves an opening that extends from ear to ear and runs across the top of the head, hidden within the hair. Through that incision, Dr. Macias can lift the skin and tighten lax muscles under direct visualization.

Once Dr. Macias has recreated your youthful facial contour, he will close the incisions. You will be free to return home immediately after your procedure to begin the healing process.
