What is an Arm Lift?
An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the upper arms. It’s ideal for patients who experience “bat wings” or noticeable sagging between the underarm and elbow due to aging, genetics, or significant weight loss.
During the procedure, lax skin is carefully removed while underlying tissues become tightened, and arms are recontoured for a slimmer, more defined look, similar to “toning” your muscles. Liposuction is often combined with a lift to address stubborn fat pockets and refine results. The incisions are typically placed along the inside or back of the arm to minimize visible scarring while optimizing contour.
